We are a family-owned show pig operation located about 60 miles east of Des Moines, IA on I-80. WinMor Farms is owned by Don and Jennifer Slagle and Jennifer’s father, Ron Smith. Our herd consists of over 100 elite females – mostly crossbreds along with a few Berkshires, Landrace and Yorkshires. Ron serves as our operations manager and sales manager. Seth Worthington is our Herdsman and another key sales lead for customers.  Jennifer is our business manager, sales lead and has primary focus on our farrowing operation. Austin Pueschel manages marketing and social media.

We are committed to working with families to make the show ring a memorable and educational experience. We salute the parents, youth leaders, and advocates who make sacrifices to keep the tradition of showing livestock alive for future generations. We are a family who considers livestock shows our “family vacations”… rarely do we take trips without a livestock trailer behind the truck. Ron always likes to say, “we are as committed to your project as you are.” We provide support and service after the sale and we are always happy to provide animal health, nutrition and fitting instructions. We are only as successful as you are!

We settle for nothing less than exceptional females. We have built an elite core of females which remain the foundation of our herd. We believe that by raising the bar and maintaining extreme discipline in replacement gilt selection, we will consistently generate show pigs that can win at the highest levels of competition. Everyone has access to the same boars – it’s the females that set us apart from the rest of the pack.
